Democratic Party representative
Lee Jae-myung appeared for the second time in his trial for allegedly violating the Public Offices Election Act. Prosecutors and Lee's representatives again engaged in a battle over what Lee said during the last presidential election that he did not know the late Kim Moon-ki, the former director of the Seongnam Urban Development Corporation.

Unlike during the first trial two weeks ago, when < reporter > criticized prosecutors for raising the issue of
investigative equity,
MDP Representative Lee Jae-myung spared no words when he walked to and from court today (2).

The trial continued over whether Lee's statement in a televised interview when he was a candidate for the MDP presidential nomination, "I did not know the late Kim Moon-ki, former director of the Seongnam Urban Development Corporation, when he was mayor of Seongnam," was a false statement.

Prosecutors confirmed that Kim, who was in charge of key tasks in the Daejang-dong development project, reported to Lee face-to-face several times, and claimed that during a 17-day, 2015-night business trip to Australia in 9, Lee and Kim "cannot help but remember" that they had been playing golf and other leisure time together.

Lee countered that at the time of the trip, it appeared that Kim was not Lee but an assistant to former General Manager Yoo Dong-kyu, and that Lee and Kim never made eye contact even after looking at the videos and photos taken together.

In response, General Manager Yu accused Lee of lying and saying that Mr. Lee's mask would be removed.

In the trial two weeks later, Yoo will appear as a witness and confront Lee, so it is expected that the battle will be even more fierce.
