Makuhari Toyosago Station on the Keiyo Line, the first new JR station in Chiba Prefecture in 25 years, will open on the 18th in the Makuhari New City district of Chiba City.

Makuhari Toyosago Station is the 18th station on the JR Keiyo Line connecting Tokyo Station and Soga Station in Chiba City, and is located on the west side of Makuhari Shintoshin in Mihama-ku, Chiba City, and is the first new JR station in Chiba Prefecture in 25 years.

The station building is made of cedar from the prefecture, and the "membrane roof" stretched over the roof brings in natural light on sunny days and brightens even without lighting.

The platform of the station is an unusual structure in which the down line is on the first floor and the up line is on the second floor.

According to JR East Japan, the shutters of the station will be opened at 1:2 a.m. on the 19th, and you can enter the ticket gate.

The
first train on the Keiyo Line departing from Makuhari-Toyosago Station is scheduled to depart at 4:20 a.m. on the up line toward Tokyo Station and 1
:5 a.m. on the down line toward Soga Station.

JR East Japan says, "We would like to make this a station that will lead to the development of the Makuhari New City District and improve convenience, and will serve as a base for everyone's exchange."

A man in his 40s who lives in Narashino City and visits the area near the new station for a walk on holidays said, "The station will be built where there is still room for development, so I hope it will be a catalyst.

A woman in her 30s who often visits a nearby commercial facility with her family said, "It's convenient to be able to walk here because of the station."
