Two men in their forties were arrested by the police of the territorial security of Hauts-de-Seine Wednesday, March 8. They are suspected of having committed 36 burglaries or attempted burglaries including in Ile-de-France, reports Le Parisien. The damage caused by the thefts was estimated at 100,000 euros.

After an attempted burglary in Clamart in December, investigators spotted a fingerprint that was already registered in the National DNA Index (FNAEG). This trace allowed them to identify a man arrested a month earlier after a burglary in the same city.

The police determined the modus operandi of the duo: they acted at night, despite the presence of the inhabitants, and sneaked into the houses after forcing the bay windows. He searched the various rooms and left with money and valuables. Luxury watches, high-profile items, burglary equipment and a handgun were found during the searches. Both men denied the facts in custody.
