The lifeless body of a woman was recovered in the Oise in Cergy (Val-d'Oise) on Tuesday. Emergency services were alerted in the afternoon, shortly after 16 p.m. A team of divers from the fire brigade immediately went to the scene. When they arrived, the victim was in cardiorespiratory arrest, reports La Gazette du Val-d'Oise.

They brought her back to shore and tried to resuscitate her. In vain. The woman, in her sixties, was pronounced dead at the scene. For the time being, the precise circumstances of the events have not yet been determined. The Pontoise prosecutor's office has opened an investigation. The investigations were entrusted to the Cergy police station.

The body of the sexagenarian was transported to the hospital of Garches, in the Hauts-de-Seine. An autopsy must be performed to try to determine the cause of death. No track would be ruled out for the moment, according to our colleagues. It could be an accident, suicide or homicide.
