Are you 18 years old and dreaming of discovering the Old Continent? The European Commission is renewing its "DiscoverEU" programme for young people and offering them the opportunity to win train tickets to travel across Europe for one year. The call for applications opened on Wednesday and will close on 29 March. The pass issued allows travel for up to thirty days between June 15, 2023 and September 30, 2024.

To apply, you must have been born between 1 July 2004 and 30 June 2005 and reside in the European Union or in one of the third countries associated to the Erasmus+ programme such as Iceland, Liechtenstein, North Macedonia, Norway, Serbia and Turkey.

Candidates must register and then participate in a mini-quiz. People with disabilities or illnesses can also participate and will receive assistance if selected. It is also possible to apply in groups, provided that all candidates meet the criteria.



Young people who are lucky enough to get their pass will receive a DiscoverEU card allowing them to benefit from discounts on cultural visits, learning activities, sports, local transport, accommodation, food... Since June 2018, more than 200,000 travelers have benefited from this program.
