A man was stabbed to death Thursday near Stalingrad Square northeast of Paris, and the alleged perpetrator fled, police sources said. The incident took place around 13:00 p.m. The man, who had not yet been identified Thursday night, died on the spot despite the intervention of the rescuers.
According to a witness, the victim had just crossed the street to sit next to another man lying on cardboard boxes under the Paris metro, detailed a police source. She then recrossed the street, before collapsing on the roadway.
His body had a "perforation in the chest and back," the source said. The alleged perpetrator fled by subway. The 2nd district of the Paris judicial police is in charge of the investigation.
