Back to prison. Tuesday, a young man of 24 years was arrested by the gendarmes in Issoire (Puy-de-Dôme). He was already known to the police since he had been incarcerated for months in Riom prison. He had been convicted of violence, drug trafficking or traffic violations, reports La Montagne.

But the young detainee had been on the run for a few days. He managed to escape from prison on Thursday by taking advantage of his one-day leave. He simply never returned to his cell at 18 p.m., as planned. A search warrant was immediately issued to find him.

This is now done by the gendarmes who carried out a road check in Issoire Tuesday afternoon. The soldiers arrested him around 15 p.m. and took him into custody. The young man then returned to the prison of Riom in the late afternoon. He will be summoned again by the court to explain this escape.
