The president of the departmental union of tobacconists of the Drôme will find herself Friday in front of the court of Valence facing a former employee. The latter is suspected of having stolen a large quantity of scratch games between December 2020 and July 2021. The damage is estimated at 80,000 euros, reports Le Dauphiné Libéré.

The tobacconist discovered the facts by carrying out her year-end balance sheet with her accountant. "Unscrupulously, she is sinking a business. She stole 80,000 euros while I have employees to pay, "she laments. The entrepreneur is all the more surprised that the suspect worked for three years in her tobacco shop. She also claims that she had "great confidence" in him.

The president of the union now wants to alert her colleagues. It also invites them to always file a complaint if they find themselves in such a situation. She is now awaiting trial and hopes that justice will rule in her favour. She assures that her business "survives as best she can" this ordeal.
