In this case, on the 26th of last month, three men broke into a house in Minamisoma City, Fukushima Prefecture, assaulted a couple in their 70s, severely injuring their husband, and robbed them of cash and precious metals. Following the arrest of three suspects in their twenties, on the 13th, a new Chiba city employee, Seiya Yaita (21), was arrested on suspicion of attempted robbery and murder.
Investigations so far have revealed that Yaita was driving a car on the day of the incident, and that he was traveling in Minamisoma City with a rental car with three people in it. It is said that he met three people in the city and sent one of them to a station on the JR Joban Line by car.
The police are investigating their roles in the group, and are investigating whether there were any other people involved in the incident, assuming that the four people had acquaintances in the so-called "dark part-time job".
