Snow removal work is underway on the national highway "Hakkoda-Towada Gold Line" that passes through the Hakkoda Mountains in Aomori Prefecture, which is closed during the winter, aiming to open next month.

National Route 103 "Hakkoda-Towada Gold Line", which connects Aomori City and Lake Towada, is closed for about 8 km from Sukayu, Aomori City to Yachi, Towada City during the winter due to accumulated snow.



The prefecture that manages the road has been removing snow from this section since the end of last month, and on the 15th, 5 snow removal vehicles and 10 workers were working at a point about 2 kilometers away from the Sukayu Gate, which was closed to traffic.
