The procession of about sixty people had just started when an incident occurred this Wednesday morning in the town of the Palace in Belle-Ile-en-Mer (Morbihan) during the demonstration against the pension reform. A little before 10:30 am, a van that found itself in the middle of the mobilization forced the passage before running over a demonstrator in her thirties, reports Ouest-France.
Wounded, the victim was quickly taken care of by the emergency services before being transported to the hospital of the island. The gendarmes, who were on site at the time of the accident, immediately chased the driver and arrested him. At the call of the inter-union and the Nupes, a new demonstration in support of the injured person is planned Thursday morning at the same place.
