A police officer wounded in the head, right knee and hand was hospitalized Sunday after being knocked down in the evening in Saint-Denis (Seine-Saint-Denis). The 39-year-old civil servant and member of the ITUC (the security and intervention company) intervened on a refusal to comply.

He tries to flee

According to TF1 and Le Parisien, citing police sources, the driver of the scooter was participating in an urban rodeo when the anti-crime brigade intervened. The 65-year-old man then fled on his scooter with a 19-year-old passenger. Police officers from the Security and Intervention Company (CSI) tried in turn to stop the two-wheeler and control the driver. But the latter would have run into the official who was from behind.

He then tried to continue on his way but was arrested, as was his passenger. They were taken into custody. The driver of the two-wheeler tested positive for narcotics. As for the policeman treated at the Parisian hospital Georges-Pompidou, his life is not in danger. An investigation was opened and was entrusted to the Saint-Denis police station.
