Arrested Tuesday, March 7 in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) in possession of more than 200,000 euros, a young man was indicted Friday for drug trafficking. Such a sum in cash is "a rare seizure", commented a source close to the case, adding that the suspect was already well known to the police, especially for drug trafficking.

On Friday, the defendant in his twenties was also indicted for participation in a criminal association, possession and acquisition of category B weapons. He was then placed in pre-trial detention, said the Nanterre prosecutor's office.

At the time of his arrest, the young man had on him 212,000 euros, 72 kg of resin, 15 kg of weed and a hundred cannabis capsules of one gram each. A preliminary investigation was opened in the wake by the prosecutor's office, entrusted to the judicial police of the department. The investigations are now continuing in the form of a judicial investigation.
