Broadcaster Park so-hong appeared as a witness in the trial of Park Jin-hong, who was arrested and charged with embezzlement by his brother, and vented his anger.

Park so-hong appeared as a witness at the fourth trial of his brother Park Mo and his spouse on charges of violating the Act on Aggravated Punishment of Certain Economic Crimes (Embezzlement), which was held from 2 p.m. on the 15th at the hearing of Part 11 of the Seoul West District Law Criminal Settlement (Chief Judge Bae Sung-joong).

Before entering the courtroom, he said, "I worked my youth to support and love my family, but I was deprived of a lot." "I will make sure that the outcome of the trial is a source of hope for the many people who have been victims of faith and goodwill to those close to them." I said and walked away.

After entering the courtroom, Park looked at his brother Park and sister-in-law Lee Mo for about five seconds. Park also made eye contact with Park Su-hong without averting her eyes.

During the prosecution's interrogation, which began amid tense tensions, Park said, "My brother-in-law and sister-in-law ran two companies, Rael and Mediaboom, a one-man agency that was run by their own travel fees and event fees, and lived with the words 'save money' on the outside, but in reality, they siphoned off funds through false employees and withdrew large sums of money from corporate and personal passbooks." Argued. He also couldn't hide his excitement about buying gift certificates at department stores, school fees, fitness fees, and esthetics, saying, "These are things I never knew about and had never used."

"My brother said, 'As I passed through Magog, that's all your sangha,' but as it turned out, my name didn't exist at all. Eight properties had not been paid. My name itself was gone. I believed that my brother would manage my savings frugally and give them away. Later, however, corporate funds were used to acquire personal real estate. They even told me to pay for my house, spend money from my bank account, take their maintenance money out of my corporate account, and just change the books." Argued.

Park alleged that he had no overall knowledge of money management, bank account management, banking, agency staffing, and wage payments to his brother. In response, Mr. and Mrs. Park held each other's hands under the table, or shook their heads whenever Park so-hong answered, making a gesture to the effect that "not true."

"When I learned about my brother's embezzlement, I sent him a proof of contents eight times, but my brother tried to hide the crime of embezzlement until the end and avoided contacting me on the phone. And he murdered me and the person who kept me close to me, which had nothing to do with embezzlement. A YouTuber named Kim Yong-ho was accused of harassing me by making a number of false statements, and the key informant is Lee's friend of 20 years. I couldn't help but think I should fall off a cliff and die." He stressed.

Speaking to his lawyers who appeared in court, Park said, "More than 20 million won was deposited from the bank account of the money I saved as my brother's lawyer's fee. The proceeds of the crime were used for attorneys' fees. Which law firm uses the proceeds of crime to pay for attorneys in embezzlement cases? Then, his brother's lawyers told the media, "Park so-hong is a genius of media play, and his brother and sister-in-law have been demonized. It's a tilted playing field.' Is there any reason why a celebrity who has been active for 32 years would play the press for embezzlement of his brother?" He pushed hard.

On the other hand, Park's lawyers countered that Park had known the shareholder information of Rael and Mediaboom and the password of the corporate passbook certificate since at least the beginning of 2020, but made false claims. Lawyers for his brother presented as evidence the KakaoTalk messages that Park shared with his brother Park, saying, "Park Su-hong said that he knew about his brother's embezzlement through a tax accountant in May 2020, but in fact, he knew all the shareholder lists and the password of the official certificate in January ~ March 2020." Argued.

During this process, Park so-hong confirmed that some of the KakaoTalk materials presented by Park contained information related to his girlfriend, whom he dated 10 years ago, and said, "I don't know why KakaoTalk with her name is released as evidence when she is a woman who broke up because she objected to breaking up. Can I blur it? It's really despicable." Park's lawyer excitedly said, "Speak only to the data and don't vent your personal feelings." He also set up a high angle.

Prosecutors suspect that between 2011 and 2021, Park siphoned off KRW 1.17 billion for the purpose of purchasing real estate, KRW 90 million for unauthorized use of other funds, KRW 90 million for the use of a promoter's credit card, KRW 2.9 billion for unauthorized withdrawal of the complainant's personal account, and KRW 1.9 billion for salary transfer schemes using false employee registration.

However, non-payment of settlement commitments pursuant to the agreement was excluded as the allegations did not violate. In addition, a number of life insurance allegations that Mr. Park claimed to have signed up at the urging of Mr. and Mrs. Park were also judged to be difficult to constitute a crime because the policyholder, beneficiary, and payer were the same on a contractual basis.

Park admitted some of the charges at an earlier hearing, but denied most of the embezzlement charges, including the use of corporate cards and the payment of false salaries.
