Residents of Valence (Drôme) reported gunshots in the Plan district on Sunday evening around 21 p.m. Police officers dispatched to the scene found 16 shell casings on the ground. The presence of the police had been reinforced in the area since the previous night, says France Bleu Drôme Ardèche. Agents of the anti-crime brigade (BAC) of the Rhône were notably present.

The dog brigade of Isère was also part of the reinforcements. The establishment of this important police force was decided following the multiplication of shootings in the city. Sunday's detonations came after gunshots were fired the night before but also the day before. Two young men were wounded by bullets on Friday night in the Fontbarlettes district.

During the evening of this Saturday, it was already in the district of the Plan that detonations had been heard. The prefecture of the department has planned additional reinforcements. After months of January and February marked by much violence, the neighborhoods concerned had nevertheless experienced a certain lull.
