A 20-year-old man is accused of repeatedly raping a 19-year-old woman over the weekend of 19 and 20 February in Mende. According to the testimony of the latter, they would have met in the prefecture of Lozère. But he was insistent and followed her to her home where he forced his way in. The young woman filed a complaint on Sunday at the Mende police station.

The man, an Afghan asylum seeker, denies this version of events and refers to consensual acts. The Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation against him. At the end of his police custody, he was released and placed under judicial supervision. In particular, he is forbidden to leave Lozère and to enter into contact with the young woman.
