The Gard firefighters rescued a calf weighing about 150 kg, fallen into a dry well about 5 meters deep, in Saint-Gilles. It is a specialized team of the Fire and Rescue Service (Sdis) of the department, accustomed to rescues of all kinds of animals, which led this amazing operation a few days ago.

Although the hole of the well was particularly cramped (about 50 cm by 50 cm), and that the animal was "very agitated and difficult to control", report the Gard firefighters, the intervention went well. The calf was able to be hoisted out of its trap. Its owner recovered it. And he joined his fellows, in his enclosure.
