Bones were found Sunday afternoon in a forest park in the town of Achères (Yvelines), reveals TF1info. Spotted by walkers, the skeleton was hidden under a pile of plants. In his clothes, the police officers sent to the scene discovered the identity card of a man born in 1948.

These bones may belong to a man who disappeared in April 2021 who resided in a retirement home located less than a kilometer from this park. He had left the residence at the wheel of his car under the pretext of going to the garbage dump, which was closed because of health restrictions, says Le Parisien. He has not been heard from since.

The keys to his car were found near the body on Sunday. The relatives of the missing man are convinced that it is his skeleton. They explained that he had suicidal thoughts and that he could no longer stand the confinement related to the health crisis. Analyses are underway to identify the body and determine the causes of its death.
