A street vendor in Ulsan's South District strongly pushed a street vendor in his 60s, causing injuries such as a fractured shoulder, causing controversy.

Yesterday (13th), a post appeared in the online community titled, "Street enforcement officer shoved an elderly man, fractured his shoulder."

According to the article, on the 8th, Mr. A, a street vendor in his 60s, was stopped by a street vendor in Nam-gu, Ulsan, while selling his agricultural products at a stall in Ulsan's Sinjeong Market.

In the process, the enforcement officer intercepted a bundle of plastic that Mr. A had reserved for sale, and Mr. A threw it to the ground while demanding that it be returned.

In the accompanying video, Mr. A, who was having a squabble with the police officer, was seen falling.

The shopkeeper, who was located in front of Mr. A's stall at the time of the incident, witnessed this on CCTV and told the police officer that he needed hospital treatment, so they headed to the hospital.

However, after arriving at the hospital, the police officer who injured him refused to sign the guardian's instructions for admission procedures, and Mr. A was left in the hospital with a fractured shoulder for more than 4 hours.

Fortunately, Mr. A's child was contacted and Mr. A was taken to a nearby hospital where surgery was available, and he was able to undergo surgery through subsequent examinations.

According to the article, Mr. A is hospitalized after undergoing surgery for a shoulder fracture equivalent to 10 weeks before the incisor, and suffers from symptoms of mental disorders such as anxiety, nervousness, and insomnia.

However, the person in charge of Ulsan South District reportedly contacted Mr. A's family and informed him that "Mr. A's actions are obstruction of the execution of official duties of street vendor control."

When users saw this, they responded, "This is an employee hired directly or indirectly by the district office, it seems inappropriate", "I understand the crackdown on stalls, but should it be solved violently", and "The video is too painful".

After the controversy, an official from Ulsan's South District said, "The enforcement officers are fixed-term workers, and we will accurately investigate and take action against the incident as it occurred while Mr. A was hanging from the arms of a street vendor."

Meanwhile, the alleged damage posts in various online communities have been removed as of 4 p.m. today.
