His name was Marcello Vinci, the 29-year-old native of Martina Franca (Taranto), found lifeless in Shanghai, China, on the night between 5 and 6 March. The death of the Italian is shrouded in mystery: to confirm the news that was circulating on social media in recent days was the mother of the young man, Angela Berni, who in turn made an appeal on Facebook. "To anyone among the friends - wrote the woman in the post - had contact with Marcello between 5 and 6 March I humbly ask you to provide me with every detail, it could be of great help to the investigation".

The boy, who had lived with his family in Fasano (Brindisi), graduated from the Institute of International Studies with a thesis on the Dragon that dresses Made in Italy and in 2017 he moved to China. From the thoughts posted on Facebook it emerges that the boy had suffered in a particular way the restrictions related to Covid.

On November 10, back in China after a weekend spent at home, in Italy, he wrote: "While you have been living without masks for years, I am preparing to do yet another quarantine. I would like to clarify that I was locked up 2 weeks between July and August, 27 days in 30 days total in September, one week in October and I had finished the last quarantine of 7 days 3 days ago". In another, post, on December 6, 2022, he stated: "The only wish under the tree is that this is my last year in China."
