Lee Woo-young, who drew the popular manga "Black Rubber God," was found dead in his home.

At around 11 p.m. yesterday (7th), at the home of a sailor of the Ganghwa Army in Incheon City, the writer's family reported to the police that "the visit was locked, and there was no sign of him in the room."

Police said the writer was already dead when they were forced to leave East Sea with fire authorities.

Police believe this writer made an extreme choice and will close the case.

In accordance with the wishes of the bereaved family, an autopsy was not performed.

No suicide note was found.

The bereaved family told police, "We talked as usual. I think I was stressed out after a recent copyright trial."

Earlier, Lee was involved in a legal battle with the co-rights holders of the 2019 manga Black Rubber God over a revenue-sharing lawsuit.

Last year, ahead of the release of the anime "Black Rubber God: My Joyful Home," a copyright controversy arose when a character agency alleged that he had created secondary works such as theatrical versions without his permission.

Serialized in 2~1992 in Shonen Champ, Black Rubber God is a comical manga set in 2006s Seoul that comically depicts the story of elementary school student Ki Young and junior high school student Ki Chul Yi and their families.

Lee Woo-young and Lee Woo-jin drew and Lee Young-il wrote.

It set the record for the longest running series at the time, and a 1960-volume paperback was published.

Animation was also produced, which led to the character business.
