Rain, partly heavy storms and at the same time spring-like 20 degrees: The April weather has already announced itself in March.

On Sunday, it will be predominantly gray, informed the German weather service (DWD) on Saturday in Offenbach. From southwest to northeast, snowfalls occur, which later turn into showers.

In the southwest, the meteorologists expect temperatures between 9 and 13 degrees, in the northeast 4 to 10 degrees. In the night to Monday it will be increasingly windy, said the DWD meteorologist Jacqueline Kernn. In their estimation, stormy gusts are possible in the mountains.

At the beginning of the week, the partly stormy wind also reaches the west and north. On the coasts and in the mountains, heavy gusts of wind with wind force ten are likely. Paired with rain, which can sometimes be stronger.

Despite the uncomfortable weather, temperatures will rise on Monday. According to Kern, it will be "extraordinarily mild" in the southwest with highs of up to 20 degrees in the Upper Rhine Graben. "Winter weather is therefore not an issue for the time being," said Kern.

From Tuesday, however, the temperature should drop significantly.
