Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker Alex Gibney has decided to look into the case of the unstoppable Elon Musk. Already at work for several months, the director announced his new film earlier this week, presenting it as a "definitive and unvarnished examination of the multibillionaire entrepreneur at the head of Tesla, SpaceX and Twitter".

"It is time to paint a rigorous portrait of Elon Musk, who is undeniably one of the most influential figures of our time," Zhang Xin, founder of the company Closer Media that co-produces the project, added in a statement relayed by Variety.

Alex Gibney has about twenty documentaries to his credit, including Scientology, under the influence, Citizen K, a film dedicated to the ousted Russian oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky, or Steve Jobs: The Man in the Machine. It is therefore certain that his investigation will be anything but a mythologized apology for Elon Musk, as was Back in Space, the Netflix documentary to the glory of the entrepreneur and his dreams of space conquest.
