Many people
have been shocked by a recent documentary about religious groups in Korea. In particular, the controversy regarding the Christian Gospel Mission JMS is increasing, and yesterday (9th) there was a stir over public remarks made during a live KBS broadcast.

Reporter Kim Kwang-hyun reports.

Dankook University professor Kim Do-hyung, the
operator of the anti-JMS group Exodus, appeared on KBS's "The Live," which was broadcast live yesterday afternoon, and claimed that KBS also has JMS members.

[Kim Do-hyung/Ban JMS group operator (KBS The Live): The person protecting Jung Myung Seok is not far away. KBS PD is also an incumbent Shindo, and there is an interpreter who often appears on KBS broadcasts.]

As the controversy grew, KBS immediately launched an investigation, adding that the PD and interpreter mentioned by Professor Kim were confirmed not currently working on production at KBS, adding that Professor Kim also expressed regret for using categorical language.

In an appearance on CBS on 7 August, Professor Kim claimed that not only are there many JMS believers in the prosecutor's office, but the sculptures symbolizing the prosecution were made by JMS believers.

Mr. A, the artist of the sculpture "Standing Eyes" that was elected in 1994 and installed at the main entrance of the Supreme Prosecutor's Office, said that he was a JMS believer until the 90s, but that he was wrongfully framed by Principal Jung Myung-seok.

It was also claimed that the parents of an idol group member were JMS members, and the agency made an official statement, and the scandal seems to continue to spread.

However, it is pointed out that we must be wary of indiscriminate witch hunts and reveal the real truth through the judicial process.

JMS President Jung Myung Seok, who was released from prison in February 10 after serving 2018 years in prison for rape of a female believer, is facing the expiration of his first-instance detention in another case accused of raping a female believer.
