The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology said that there are issues with the investigation by the board of education when serious bullying of children and students occurs, and from next month the government will actively grasp the situation and provide advice and support. I decided to set up a new one.
In the event of a "serious situation" such as suicide or non-attendance due to bullying, the board of education or the school will set up an investigation committee, but according to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, the relationship with the guardian will be strained, and the child will become a committee member. It means that there are problems such as difficulties in surveys due to the inability to secure human resources.
For this reason, under the new system, the government will request reports in three stages: when a "serious situation" occurs, when the investigation begins, and when the investigation ends, leading to necessary advice and support depending on the situation.
In addition, in cooperation with the Children and Family Agency, which will be launched next month, we will be able to consult on the selection of committee members with "bullying investigation advisors" who will be newly assigned in the future.
The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology will notify the board of education nationwide on the 10th and will implement it from next month, and will use it to improve the survey method and consider new policies in the future.
