  As the opening drama of the show season, the drama "Let Me Hold Your Hand..." directed by Lai Shengchuan will be staged twice from the 11th. This is also the first show of actor Huang Shengyi's drama. Then one person plays seven roles including Chekhov.

  That night, the two protagonists interacted face-to-face with the audience in Xiamen, and met with Zhou Qingqing, deputy general manager of China Performance Theater Development Co., Ltd., Chen Qi, an internationally renowned artist and dean of the Graduate School of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and Xiamen Minnan Grand Theater Management Co., Ltd. Luo Yan, executive director and general manager of the company, and Luo Xiaxia, special assistant to the executive director of Taiwan Guangyi Foundation, attended the opening ceremony together.

  The Minnan Spring Performance Season is a brand performance season created by the Minnan Grand Theater since its opening in 2012, and it is also the most influential cultural brand performance season in Xiamen every year.

Zhou Qingqing delivered a speech at the opening ceremony, saying that in 2023, the development of the cultural and tourism industry will embark on a journey of planning new measures, conducting new explorations, stimulating new kinetic energy, and forming new advantages, and the cultural and art industry will develop in a more diversified direction.

  According to the sponsor, the Spring Festival of Southern Fujian will introduce 22 high-quality repertoires for 32 performances, covering dramas, dance dramas, musicals, concerts, high-definition screenings and other types, sharing nearly a hundred days of artistic feast with the audience.

Such as the drama "Let Me Hold Your Hand..." directed by Lai Shengchuan, the original dance drama "Dream of Red Mansions", Wu Bixia & Nanjing Chinese Orchestra Jinling Twelve Hairpins - "Dream of Red Mansions" theme concert, Zhang Tielin's first self-written, directed and self-acted work- The original drama "Chair" by Longma Society, the musical "My Bucket List", the first original stage play "The Lost 24th White Key" of the Southern Fujian Grand Theater, etc.

  In addition, the theater will also build an art space with schools, communities, shopping malls, and art galleries, and organize and plan a number of art popularization and performance supporting experience activities, such as art sharing sessions, master meeting meetings, elegant art on campus, and ballet advanced classes open class etc.

  The first original stage play "The Lost 24th White Key" of the Minnan Grand Theater is currently under intense preparation and will premiere at the Minnan Grand Theater on May 26th. Directed by Liang Zhimin, composed by Bao Bida, the godfather of Asian music, starring well-known and popular actors Jia Fan and Li Weiling, it tells the endless old dreams and legacy of Gulangyu Island, and the lovesickness of generations of overseas Chinese.

  In 2022, Minnan Grand Theater and Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts reached a cooperation to establish the "Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts Postgraduate Innovation Practice Base" in Xiamen, and joined hands with "Lanjing·Future Media Academy Award" with the theme of "Future·Theatre" to jointly open young artists in residence plan.

  On the basis of this cooperation, the "Future·Theatre" cross-border art series exhibition of the Southern Fujian Theater specially planned by the theater in 2023 also kicked off at the opening ceremony of the Southern Fujian Spring Performance Season. The integration of art and visual art, together with Lanjing Technology, invites major art academies at home and abroad as art support.

  As one of the participating artists of this series of exhibitions, Professor Chen Qi analyzed the concept and highlights of this series of exhibitions, and jointly explored more possibilities of theater-style space in art creation and art work dissemination.

  Luo Yan said that in the context of the accelerated recovery of the national performance market, theaters are also facing a new round of challenges, not limited to performances on the stage, but focusing on emerging art media, allowing visual art to enter the theater.

This is another innovation in the theater field, and another innovation in the combination of performing arts, visual arts and technology.

This series of exhibitions will also continue the original intention of school-enterprise cooperation in 2022, build a platform for young artists, and allow more young art talents to join in.
