Ségolène Royal gave a long interview to our colleagues from the “World” on Wednesday March 8, 2023. The former candidate for the 2007 presidential election confided in her relationship with François Hollande.

The former head of state was unfaithful to him and would have "imposed a situation of bigamy on him".

A situation that has become unbearable for Ségolène Royal

Their love story came to an abrupt end on June 17, 2007, only two months after Ségolène Royal's defeat against Nicolas Sarkozy in the second round of the presidential election.

One of the reasons for their breakup: the adulterous relationship maintained by François Hollande with Valérie Trierweiler since the 2000s.

A situation that has become unbearable for the former minister who separated from the father of her four children, Thomas, Clémence, Julien and Flora.
