At a terrifying pre-dawn speed, a vehicle hurtles toward a retaining wall.

It is not easy to get the occupants out of the vehicle that was damaged by the impact of the accident.

[Firefighter: One (passenger) was in cardiac arrest, so we rescued him and then CPR (CPR), and the other one (driver) was rescued and I think he was conscious.]

The driver, Mr. A, a cadre in his 40s from the Army's parent unit, was seriously injured in the accident, and his wife, B, who is in her 40s, was taken to the hospital but died.

However, the police noticed something strange during the autopsy on Mr. B.

The driver, Mr. A, suffered serious injuries such as fractures, and Mr. B, who died, was not found to have any trauma that could have been seen as a car accident.

There are other suspicious circumstances.

According to the police, it was confirmed that Driver A had wandered around the site several times in the hours before the accident.

In addition, the police tracked the vehicle and found that Mr. A was loading an object wrapped in something into the car from a house about 4 kilometers away just before the accident, but it was reported that Mr. B was not seen boarding.

Military authorities are also investigating the circumstances of the accident.

[Seo Woo-suk/Chief of the Army Public Affairs Division: We are conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the accident and the cause of death in conjunction with the police. Based on the results of the investigation, we will deal with it in accordance with laws and regulations.]

The military authorities and the police are speeding up the investigation of the accident, including an autopsy on Mr. B to determine the cause of death.
