Shots rang out on Wednesday in the middle of the day in the Izards district of Toulouse. A car of the field surveillance brigade of the north of Toulouse was patrolling on the side of Avenue Jean-Zay, when one of the police officers saw in a vehicle a handgun.

The police then decided to stop the car and its two occupants, but they refused to comply indicates the Toulouse prosecutor's office. A chase begins and to try to escape the police, the driver forces the barrier of a parking lot of a private residence of the Izards.

Stuck and refusing to stop, the fugitive rushes into the police car, then in a second maneuver tries to hit the three policemen who have set foot on the ground. The latter then opened fire to try to stop the driver, without causing injuries. The two men were eventually arrested and taken into custody.

One of the three police officers was slightly injured in the knee when the driver tried to hit them, requiring the intervention of firefighters. The neighborhood was cordoned off until the findings could be made and an investigation of flagrance was opened and entrusted to the departmental security.
