• Ghostface continues his massacres in New York for "Scream VI".
  • The killer continues to hit hard, especially in the middle of a group of friends who seek to identify him.
  • Ghostface has been continuing his massacres in New York for "Scream VI" for so long.

Ghostface the killer has not finished his carnage. It is now in New York that various people hide under his black suit and terrifying mask for Scream VI by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. It remains to guess who he is to limit his damage, which does not make life easier for characters camped by Melissa Barrera, Jenna Ortega (recently seen in the series Wednesday), Courteney Cox, Jasmin Savoy Brown or Mason Gooding who talked about him to 20 Minutes.

"I think the popularity of Ghostface is because it could be anyone," Barrera says. What amuses people and ensures the success of the franchise is trying to guess who he is." This sixth installment is no exception to the rule while the dark hero decimates characters in a way as brutal as methodical. "He can be your lover, your friend or even your mother," says Jasmin Savoy Brown. Mason Gooding adds: "He maintains our paranoia which makes him an icon of popular culture."

A much-loved killer

Ghostface's appearance is also familiar even to people who haven't seen any of the movies. "He's easily recognizable," insists Jenna Ortega, "and his cheap Halloween costume can be easily imitated." Every Halloween, Ghostfaces abound in the streets of the world what the directors use to their advantage to make you shiver. "I've been involved in the franchise for so long that when I meet a Ghosface in real life while I'm out for Halloween with my daughter Coco, it makes me really happy. I even say hello to him," admits Courteney Cox.

A happiness shared by the spectators of Scream VI who are not deprived of the appearance of a killer so much appreciated by the interpreters of the film. "I'll do well for a new episode if it's with the same team," admits Melissa Barrera. Courteney Cox and Jenna Ortega tempered his enthusiasm. "We still have to be able to do it because it all depends on who survived at the end of this sixth film." You don't have to be a soothsayer to predict that the only one who will always be there is Ghostface himself, who has been wielding the knife since 1996 to the horror of his fans.
