New twist on the side of the young German who claimed to be Madeleine McCann, missing since 2007. Julia Faustyna now thinks she could be called Livia Schepp, a girl abducted by her father in 2011. According to the British newspaper The Sun, the 21-year-old woman even carried out a DNA test to confirm this version.

A little flashback: Julia appeared on social networks a few weeks ago, including via an Instagram account through which she tried to prove that she was indeed little Maddie. This British woman had vanished sixteen years ago, during a family holiday in Portugal. Julia Faustyna has multiplied photo montages and videos to demonstrate the physical similarities between her, Maddie and her parents.

"Know the truth about who she is"

Hundreds of thousands of Internet users supported the young woman and shared her testimony to alert the authorities. But the German's own family has categorically denied Julia's claims, even going so far as to present a proper birth certificate. The Instagram account "iammadeleinemccann" was closed in the aftermath.

Not enough to stop the young woman and her self-proclaimed spokeswoman, a certain Fia Johansson who presents herself as a private detective and medium. "She's open to the fact that she could be any missing child, not just Madeleine. Julia just wants to know the truth about who she is," Johansson told The Sun.

Twins probably dead

Julia Faustyna now thinks she could be Livia Schepp, who disappeared at the age of 6 with her twin sister. A hypothesis that was born as a result of comments from Internet users. "Julia is very open to the idea that she could be Livia Schepp and we are looking into that," says Fia Johansson. The young woman would even have taken a DNA sample to compare it to that of the girl. Even if the latter would be 18 years old today, and not 21 years old like Julia...

Alessia and Livia Schepp have been wanted since 30 January 2011. That day, their father had picked them up at their mother's home in Switzerland. Five days later, the man committed suicide by throwing himself under a train in Italy. In a posthumous letter, he claimed that his twins died, but the bodies were never found.
