He was 61 years old and his death sparked a series of tributes on social media. Actor Tom Sizemore, known for his uniformed roles including Saving Private Ryan and The Fall of the Black Hawk, had been struck by a brain aneurysm two weeks earlier. He passed away surrounded by his brother and 17-year-old twins, Jayden and Jagger, from his previous relationship with Janelle McIntire.

At the announcement of his disappearance, celebrities were quick to share their grief on the networks, like John Travolta.

The Pulp Fiction actor posted Sunday in an Instagram Story relayed by Today: "I made a movie with Tom Sizemore called Death at High Speed. I thought he was an excellent actor. He knew exactly what he was doing. I really enjoyed working with him. He will be missed. »

Maeve Quinlan, to whom he was married from 1996 to 1999, also spoke out on Twitter. "My sincere condolences to the entire Sizemore family. My thoughts and prayers go out especially to Tom's two sons, Jayden and Jagger. May God hold you in the palm of His hand, give you strength and bless you both," she wrote.

The actor and his old demons

Directors Josh and Benny Safdie recalled how impressed they were when Tom Sizemore auditioned for the role Eric Bogosian eventually played in (Uncut) Gems, in 2019. "In 2015, Sizemore auditioned for the role of Bogosian for (Uncut) Gems. He improvised with the actor next to him (although he was not in the scene), sometimes inventing new plot details and making an entirely predictable experience unpredictable. RIP," they posted on Twitter.

American actor Wendell Pierce described Tom Sizemore as a "bon vivant and a great actor", while Kim Coates shared a photo from their joint filming on the 2001 war film, The Fall of the Black Falcon. "So talented. So tormented. Our lives have taken different paths... I will never forget our nightlife in New York. The good old days. And now he's gone. So sad and sorry," he added.
