Recently, an online community posted a photo titled, "Can we seriously report our toilet?"

This is a photo of the bathroom of a convenience store.

The toilet lid is open, and dozens of cup noodles are stored next to it without a barrier.

As the post spread online, photos of other convenience store part-time workers were also filed.

There were not only ramen noodles around the toilet, but also eggs, rice, and even unpackaged canned drinks.

Many people who saw this pointed out the hygiene conditions of the convenience stores.

A study published last year by researchers at the University of Colorado in Boulder, USA, found that flushing a toilet without closing the lid causes water droplets to spew out into the air, some even reaching the ceiling.

Droplets that pop up when flushing toilets pose a risk of transmitting various pathogens, including E. coli and norovirus, and are more likely to spread contaminated droplets, especially in public toilet settings, the team explained.

Respondents responded, "The cup noodles smell like noodles," "There's more to that place than I thought," and "I don't think it's going to happen in my own house."
