They were evacuated immediately. This Monday, twenty-five people living at No. 10 rue de Gorron, in Fougères (Ille-et-Vilaine), left their homes on the orders of firefighters. The latter were called shortly before 8:30 am by one of the occupants of this building dating from the 1970s. The resident explained to the emergency services that he had heard a strange cracking sound in his apartment. A large crack reportedly appeared in his home, leading him to alert firefighters.

According to the national police, 25 people living in the building and nearby buildings were evacuated as a precaution. It is not known for the moment what was the origin of this cracking. Shoring work was carried out to avoid the deterioration of the situation and a potential collapse. The occupants had to be able to return to their homes.
