The suspect has not yet commented. The 81-Year-old had invoked his right to refuse to testify, said the spokesman. At the moment, the investigation focused on evaluating the evidence and comparing it with the witness statements.

On Tuesday morning, the 16-year-old was attacked in front of the house by the 81-year-old with a firearm. The boy died on Wednesday evening from his serious injuries. The 81-year-old had also injured himself with a pistol life-threatening, but is no longer in mortal danger. The motive of the act was still unclear, it said. Both lived in the apartment building, which is directly opposite a primary school.

According to the public prosecutor's office, the accused was a sports shooter, the murder weapon, a small-caliber pistol, was a sports shooting weapon. The question of whether the man was allowed to own the weapon, the prosecutor's office could not initially answer.

An arrest warrant was issued against the man with Italian citizenship for murder and attempted manslaughter. As soon as he is fit for transport, he is to be taken to a judicial hospital.
