Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) and Member of Dubai Council, said that the SIKKA Art and Design Festival has become one of the most prominent creative art events hosted in Dubai, while consolidating its position as an important component of the emirate's growing creative scene, while also being a qualitative addition to cultural activity in the region as a whole.

This came during Her Highness's inspection of the activities of the 11th edition of the festival, which is being held this year under the slogan "Creativity is renewed on the same track" in the "Al Fahidi Historical Neighborhood", one of the #وجهات_دبي and within the #موسم_دبي_الفني. During the meeting, Her Highness was briefed on a number of events, projects, artworks and creations that reflect the development of the creative scene in Dubai and its cultural diversity, and met with a number of participating artists, praising their creative level, excellence of their artistic visions, and creative ideas. Her Highness said: "The festival contributes to translating the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in attracting and developing quality competencies, which contributes to activating the cultural and creative industries sector, at the local and regional levels, while the festival has become a destination for talented and creative people from around the world, through which we continue to support and empower artists, and provide spaces and horizons that enable them to unleash their innovative creative ideas, and turn them into distinguished and inspiring works, which achieves Dubai's ambitions. for the cultural sector, and consolidates the emirate's position as a global center for culture, an incubator for creativity, and a major meeting place for talent." This year's edition of SIKKA Art and Design Festival will feature more than 188 creatives from and residents from the UAE and the Gulf region.
