A 7-year-old girl was helicoptered Wednesday to the cantonal hospital of Geneva (Switzerland) after being mowed down by a car in Samoens (Haute-Savoie). She has a head trauma and a fracture of the femur, explained the prosecutor of Bonneville, Karline Bouisset, to the Dauphiné Libéré. The girl's prognosis is not life-threatening, although she was seriously injured.
The motorist taken by surprise
The child was playing in the street with his brother and sister when the accident occurred. While having fun, she fell on the road while a car was passing at that moment at a slow pace. The motorist could not avoid the young victim. The latter submitted to a blood alcohol and drug test. The results are negative, the prosecutor noted.
The Smur and the fire brigade rescued the child and finally decided to transport her to the emergency room in Geneva for treatment.
