After the shootings in front of a school in Bramsche near Osnabrück, a 16-year-old died of his serious injuries. This was announced by the Osnabrück public prosecutor's office on Thursday.

The teenager had been critically injured on Tuesday morning by an 81-year-old man of Italian citizenship by shots. On Thursday, an arrest warrant was issued for murder and attempted manslaughter against the man.

The crime occurred in front of the house of the two opposite a primary school. The suspect, a sports shooter, fired shots at the 16-year-old, then shot in the direction of the mother of the teenager, as a spokesman for the prosecutor's office said. She had come to the front of the house because she had heard the shots.

Subsequently, the 81-year-old inflicted injuries on himself with the firearm. In the meantime, his life is no longer in danger. According to the prosecutor's office, the 81-year-old, the teenager and his mother lived on top of each other in the house.
