The group TWICE became the first K-pop girl group to win an award at a major awards ceremony hosted by 'Billboard'.

On Feb. 1, local time, TWICE took the stage as the winner of the "Breakthrough Artist" category at the "2023 Billboard Women In Music" in Los Angeles, USA.

Chaeyoung said, "I'm so grateful. It's a magical start to a year on Billboard. I've always believed that every time I debuted with TWICE and took a step towards the future, I would always be with the members."

"This moment is especially meaningful because we have all nine people in front of the fans who made our dreams come true," he said, adding, "I think we proved that if you are confident in your dreams, you can achieve anything as a team with the people who support you."

"Receiving this award will be a great impetus for TWICE to overcome the many obstacles it will face in the future," said Ziyu, "I would like to thank Once (fandom name) and everyone who helped me through this whole journey. TWICE will continue to move forward and thank Billboard for gifting us this moment."

TWICE, WHO ALSO GRACED THE AWARDS SHOW WITH THE ENGLISH-LANGUAGE SINGLE "MOONLIGHT SUNRISE," RELEASED IN JANUARY, WOWED THE AUDIENCE WITH THEIR IMPECCABLE DANCE AND UNWAVERING LIVE PERFORMANCES.

In a post-stage interview, Dahyun said, "It's a great honor to perform. Thank you to Billboard and the fans," she said of being the first K-pop girl group to perform on the Billboard stage.

Also, as it is an awards ceremony for female musicians, Sana said about the secret to staying together for a long time as a female group, "I've been with the members since I was a trainee, but as I spent more time on my debut, I saw each other's various emotions up close. So now I understand more and I'm as important as my family."
