China News Service, February 27th (Reporter Zhang Ni) "Medical and preventive integration is to combine disease treatment and disease prevention, that is, medical treatment and prevention are mutually infiltrated and integrated, and through the effective connection of medical services and preventive services, the maximum Reduce the incidence of health problems." Wu Hao, member of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference and dean of the School of General Medicine and Continuing Education of Capital Medical University, emphasized in an online seminar a few days ago.

On the 25th, Peking University's strategic communication project on important issues related to vaccines held a seminar on "Prevention First - The Key to Practicing Healthy Aging", inviting experts in related fields to share how to deal with aging issues.

At the meeting, some experts analyzed that in our country, due to the continuous development of specialized technology and the common people's emphasis on medical treatment rather than prevention, the division of "medicine" and "prevention" has been for a long time, forming a situation where "medicine" is strong and "prevention" is weak.

However, in the face of the accelerated aging process, it is necessary to achieve healthy and active aging instead of passively treating diseases.

For this problem, Wu Hao gave a specific path to implement healthy aging: give full play to the functions of general practitioners and promote the integration of medical care and prevention.

"As the elderly grow older, their body functions will naturally degenerate. The increase in the incidence of chronic diseases will bring about comorbidities. For example, an elderly person may suffer from high blood pressure, COPD and diabetes at the same time. The usual maintenance treatment and health care Now, if you see three specialists, the pressure on patients and their families will be huge, and registering three numbers for three specialists is also a waste of medical resources."

Wu Hao believes that no matter from the perspective of health economics or the burden of patients, the original model and resources are not sustainable, and people need reliable medical care services that are "attainable".

At this time, general practitioners who can provide patients with convenient, cost-effective, and integrated whole-process medical care services are particularly important.

Wu Hao introduced that most of the living circles of the elderly are in the community, so the community-oriented medical services provided by general practitioners have great advantages in promoting healthy aging.

"Through community diagnosis, general practitioners can determine the main health problems in the community, and focus on targeted learning and mastering the ability to solve these problems, rather than comprehensive. To be a general practitioner with expertise, human energy is limited, so that It can win the trust of ordinary people and develop community intervention plans to solve group health problems."

Wu Hao said that general practitioners should not only take care of individuals, but also pay attention to the overall health of all residents in the community.

Generally speaking, a general practitioner will manage about 2,000 people, that is, 300-600 families, provide them with health services, solve health problems, and provide reference for community public health policy formulation.

Zhao Yaohui, a professor at the National School of Development at Peking University, also proposed in his policy recommendations that primary health care services should shift from "disease-centered" to "people-centered," and that primary health care should be comprehensive and general medical services from the perspective of the elderly.

my country's traditional medical and health system is built around "disease" and many specialized departments have been set up. However, most of the elderly suffer from comorbidities and need general medical services.

Yang Gonghuan, former deputy director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, believes that in promoting healthy aging, the public health system not only undertakes the tasks of providing effective services for the elderly, establishing a long-term care system, and creating an environment that cares for the elderly, but also includes improving measurement, monitoring and cognition level.

Compared with developed countries, my country still has a large gap in the monitoring and evaluation of healthy aging, which is mainly reflected in the imperfect monitoring system, incomplete coverage, and lack of monitoring reporting and feedback mechanisms.

"At present, there are only a few experts' research to support China's healthy aging actions and effect evaluation. These are far from enough. To do a good job in the health of the elderly requires not only policies, but also a lot of practical exploration. Whether some policies are reasonable or not requires monitoring indicators. System to evaluate, use data and facts to make conclusions." Yang Gonghuan said.
