At the Sag Awards 2023, the awards given by the actors, he dominated the comedy Everything Everywhere All At Once. Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinet's film won four awards: Best Actress in a Leading Role to Michelle Yeoh and Best Supporting Actress to Jamie Lee Curtis, Best Supporting Actor to Ke Huy Quan and Best Cast.

The comedy, which tells the story of a woman of Asian origin who runs a small laundromat and who finds herself fighting between parallel universes, had also received the award of the Guild of Hollywood producers in the 34th edition of the Producers Guild of America Awards (PGA), a union of American producers that represents a very strong indicator for the Oscars, where it is in the running with 11 nominations, more than any other film in the competition.

Among the TV series Sabrina Impacciatore raised together with the others the award for best cast "in a comedy series assigned to White Lotus. Also noteworthy is the triumph of Brendan Fraser, best actor in the film category for "The Whale".

Among the highlights of the evening was the moving speech by 94-year-old James Hong, the Chinese-born actor who won the cast of Everything Everywhere All At Once. He was the ghost of the evil Chinese sorcerer in Big Trouble in Chinatown (1986), the builder of eyes for replicants in the cult Blade Runner (1982), Quan in Tango & Cash (1989).

He began his speech by thanking friends and relatives in his native language: "We could also be broadcast in Hong Kong," he said. Then he said that he made his first film with Clark Gable, at the time they didn't use Asians for Asian roles because the directors thought it didn't work at the box office. "Look at us now," he said, noting that Jamie Lee Curtis' presence is also in line with the predominantly Asian cast, as Lee is certainly not a Western surname!.
