A gruesome murder of a famous model. Parts of her body found in a refrigerator

Police in Hong Kong said today they had arrested three people for the murder of 28-year-old model Abby Choi, whose body parts were found in a refrigerator in a house on the outskirts of the city, along with tools used to dismember the body.

Police found parts of Choi's body on Friday, but found no head, torso and hands. A meat cutter and an electric saw were also found at the scene in the Tai Po rural area of the financial centre.

The model's gruesome murder has taken hold of local newspapers as authorities search for the rest of her body using drones and a team of rope descent specialists.

The model is an influential figure in society and last week appeared on the digital cover of a Monaco fashion and arts magazine.

Police charged two men, 31 and 65, with murder, as well as misleading justice for a 63-year-old woman. They are due to appear in a district court on Monday.
