Slowly, it should dawn on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in Los Angeles that they earn a lot of money with all the accusations against the British royal family, but that they have put themselves on the sidelines. The fact that the British are more likely to side with the royal family should not have surprised Meghan and Harry. But even in her adopted country, her popularity is declining dramatically.

A new survey by Redfield & Wilton for the magazine "Newsweek" sees them plunging into the abyss in the United States, while Charles III, his wife Camilla and heirs to the throne William and Princess Catherine are again more appreciated than just over a month ago, when the autobiography "Reserve" of Prince Harry came out. Queen Camilla is more popular than Harry and Meghan for the first time. Accordingly, 32 percent still like him, 42 percent reject him, which corresponds to an approval rate of minus ten. In December, 52 percent of Americans still liked him, only 14 percent did not, resulting in a rate of plus 38. Thus, his favor has fallen by 48 points. William, on the other hand, is popular with 42 percent of Americans, only 14 percent don't like him, which corresponds to an approval rating of plus 28. Catherine is up 32 (Meghan at minus 17), making the Princess of Wales the most popular member of the royal family.

"People are just fed up with them," says American journalist Kinsey Schofield, summing up her feelings towards Harry and Meghan. She regretted that she had been so mistaken in Harry as a reporter on the royal family. In the meantime, she no longer takes away the Sussexes' victim role, with which they apparently only wanted to earn money.

In fact, the two have become real "victims", much to their displeasure. The creators of the series "South Park", which regularly mocks celebrities, have apparently deeply hurt Harry and Meghan with the episode "The Worldwide Privacy Tour". While it's about a prince and princess of Canada, she unmistakably wears the pink dress and hat that Meghan wore at Trooping the Colour in 2018, and he wears a red beard. The two are on a promotional tour for his biography "Waaagh" (which colloquially stands for "war") and hold up posters demanding more privacy. To do this, they seek advice from a marketing expert who declares them brands and gives them the label "victim". What the prince does not want, he leaves, but she stays. Stan Marsh, one of the main characters of "South Park", calls her "the goofy prince and his stupid wife". His buddy Kyle Broflovski says: "They make me sick. I'm tired of hearing from them. But unfortunately you can't escape them."

Allegedly, the Sussexes are considering suing the producers of the series. The whole thing comes at an inopportune time. Harry seems to be toying with the idea of flying to the coronation of Charles III because it is "the most important day in his father's life". But he has to fear being booed, like the prince and princess in "South Park" when they attend the funeral of the Queen of Canada after her death. In the series, it's the family that boos the couple. That's not going to happen in real life. But Harry has already made it clear that if the mood within the family on May 6 is as frosty as at the funeral of Elizabeth II, then the coronation will take place without the Duke and Duchess.
