A woman and her husband were found dead on Monday at their home in Boulogne-Billancourt (Hauts-de-Seine). It could be a femicide followed by a suicide, according to a police source who confirmed this Tuesday information from Actu 17.

It was the father of the victim who alerted the police, worried that he had not heard from his daughter for three days. Upon arriving at the couple's home, police discovered the lifeless body of the victim, who was in her forties. Her husband was also found dead, hanged.

Autopsies planned

According to the first elements of the investigation, a neighbor would have said to have heard screams of woman in the night from Friday to Saturday. The spouse also reportedly left a message on social media on Saturday, announcing that he was going to end his life.

An investigation was opened for "homicide by spouse" and entrusted to the judicial police of Hauts-de-Seine, said the prosecutor of the Republic of Nanterre. "Autopsies have been ordered," the prosecutor's office added.
