Two similar tragedies occurred Friday in Seine-Saint-Denis. Two women died after a heavy fall a few minutes apart, one in Drancy and the other in Saint-Ouen, reports Le Parisien.

The 80-year-old first victim fell from the tenth floor of her building around 18:30 p.m. The emergency services then intervened, nearly an hour and a half later, near the Saint-Ouen flea market. Another 22-year-old woman fell from the sixth floor.

Two investigations opened

While a "psychological listening cell for the inhabitants of the building and the relatives of the victim" has been set up by the town hall of Saint-Ouen, two separate investigations have been opened by the police. Each of them was entrusted to the local police station.

"There is, at this stage, no evidence to suggest that the facts could be of a criminal nature. The suicidal track remains privileged, "said a source close to the case. Autopsies of the bodies should take place within a few days, said the same source.
