Yani was born in a family of artists. Under the influence of her family, she came into contact with Chinese culture since she was a child and developed a strong interest in it.

In 2005, Yanni went to study abroad at the Conservatory of Russian State Normal University in St. Petersburg. At that time, there were many Chinese students in the school, and they often gathered together to exchange and study. That was the first time Yanni learned about the wonder of Chinese characters.

  (University) When I was in the third grade, I applied to the Confucius Institute of the Oriental (Language) Department of St. Petersburg State University.

I started taking Cantonese classes there, and (I) was very fascinated (Chinese) at that time.

Whenever I have free time, I will learn Chinese, whenever I have free time, I will write (Chinese) characters, and whenever I have free time, I will read books related to Chinese culture.

  When I was learning Chinese, I felt like I was studying ancient Egyptian hieroglyphs. It was very magical, and it might be one of my (interested) elements of interest.

  [Explanation] In 2009, Cai Yani, who applied for a scholarship, came to Harbin Normal University to continue her language studies. Gradually, her Chinese level improved a lot. During her studies, she participated in various Chinese competitions and served as a foreign host. and translation assistance.

Considering that he wanted to develop in China in the future, Yanni decided to continue to study Chinese language skills and applied for a Ph.D. from Communication University of China.

  At that time, the Belarusian embassy also invited me to work there, and I also did some cultural exchanges. At that time, I felt that I still had to improve my Chinese level, because there is no limit to learning, and I still felt that there was always one aspect that was not good enough, so I thought It is still possible to develop further in terms of language, (just) applied for a Ph.D. at Communication University of China, and was successfully admitted.

  [Explanation] Because of past experiences, Yanni became attached to Hangzhou and met her current husband. After marriage, she settled in Hangzhou and had two sons.

When talking about why she chose Hangzhou, Yanni said frankly that Hangzhou's cultural heritage and convenient life made her feel very cordial, and she also made many good friends here.

  Life in Hangzhou is very convenient and comfortable now. You can take a mobile phone with you wherever you go, and you don’t need anything else.

It is very green, and the atmosphere of traditional Chinese culture here is relatively good, all of which attracted me to come here.

  I can communicate with my mothers of various nationalities in Hangzhou and do some activities with them. We also often do some festival-related activities for children.

  [Explanation] Yanni said that he is looking forward to this year's Hangzhou Asian Games, and hopes to have the opportunity to take his eldest son to watch the live games and feel the atmosphere of the event.
