In an interview with "Paris Match" Thursday, February 16, Audrey Fleurot regretted never having been nominated for the César.

"I would love to get one, but it doesn't come up," said the actress, who laments the Academy's lack of consideration for comedies.

Audrey Fleurot will certainly not watch the 48th Cesar ceremony chaired by Tahar Rahim on Friday February 24.

And for good reason, the actress, revealed in

Kaamelott

then in

Gear,

was disappointed by the Academy.

“I would love to get one”

Despite her immense popularity, which has skyrocketed in recent years thanks to the success of the

HPI series,

Audrey Fleurot has never been nominated for a César.

A great regret for the actress, as she pointed out in an interview with

 Paris Match

Thursday, February 16.

“I would love to get one, but it does not come up,” she explains to our colleagues.

"I just regret a cruel lack of consideration for comedies which, when they are successful, deserve to be saluted".

“It is much more difficult to make people laugh than to cry”

While the Académie des César seeks to modernize, comedies are still struggling to find a place in the hearts of the jury.

However, "it is much more difficult to make people laugh than to make them cry", according to Audrey Fleurot.

The 45-year-old actress does not want the Academy.

"I don't feel any bitterness," she says.

"A career is made over time and owes a lot to chance".

Audrey Fleurot is not the only disappointed this year.

Nicolas Bedos, too, was shunned by the Caesars.

His film

Mascarade

, in which Pierre Niney, Isabelle Adjani and François Cluzet star, received no nominations.

Stunned by the news, the director had reacted at the end of January on his Instagram account.

"A thought for the whole team who did (once again) a fabulous job. The actresses, the actors, the sets, the costumes, the editing, the music: your talent and your confidence is the most beautiful rewards," wrote the director of

Mr. & Mrs. Adelman

.

"We raise our heads and move forward," he concluded.
