The Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) announced on May 24 that it would be changing its name to the China Basketball Association. CBA is the national body for the development of the sport in China.
The change of name comes after the CBA announced that it will no longer be known as the Chinese Basketball League. The new name will be the China Boxing Association (CCA), which has been around for more than 100 years. The CBA was founded in 1949 and is the oldest national basketball association in the world.
