Borussia Dortmund beat Augsburg 3-0 in the 33rd stage (penultimate) of the Bundesliga. Victory takes Dortmund to 70 points, two points ahead of nearest pursuers Bayern Munich.
Dortmund's victory at home to Mainz in the last stage of the competition next week became enough to crown the title officially, without regard to the result of Bayern's match with Cologne on the same day. Dortmund have not won the Bundesliga title since the 2011-2012 season, when Bayern were defending champions. Augsburg have won only one of their last ten games in the competition.
