Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani has made a final offer to buy Manchester United. British petrochemical billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe has emerged as favourites to buy the club from the Glazers family.
Sheikh Jasim's new offer does not yet rise to Ratcliffe's assessment, which could reach around £6bn (around 7 billion euros) if he then completes the full purchase of the club for the next two to four years. But Sheikh Jassims offer represents a significant increase compared to the inaugural offer.
